the New European Art Movement

Dick Evers

Dick Evers' art is generated by his emotions but also clearly linked to and inspired by the Abstract Expressionists. Clear references to the American development of this movement, particularly in action and colourfield painting, can be seen in his work.

A leading protagonist of the movement was Yves Klein (1928-1962), an extrovert performance artist and Nouveau Realist. Klein's ideas underlie the evolvement of Evers' development as is evidenced in both his powerful paintings and elegant sculptures.
Dick Evers, an contrast-intellectual, founded The New European Art Movement.
